FASTPITCH AMERICA SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION

*****************************************
History:

FASA was founded 03/14/2013 by Bobby Hair and Ray Wright. In our 1st season from 03/14 until 07/01/2013 we had 550 teams register to play FASA. Needless to say FASA started off as a great success and continues to grow with over 1100 teams registered the 2014 season. 2015 Season saw 1741 Team and 2016 registrations should top 2000

*****************************************
Corporate Statement:

If we do not treat our teams, coaches, and players right,  then someone else will!

*****************************************
Mission Statement:

We are the CAN DO organization!

*****************************************
Goals:
Our goal is, without exception, to be the most team, coach, fan, and player friendly organization in the Nation and to also provide only top quality officials at every event.
*****************************************
Purpose:

Our purpose is to hold only the highest quality events by focusing on what is in the best interest of our teams and players.

*****************************************
Team Classification:

Teams are classified as either "A", "B", "C", or "C-REC"! While the area director can lock in  a classification to stop a team from being reclassified, the classification will be done by our power rating system. Teams   with a power rating of over 1000 will be classified as "A", teams with a power rating of 501 to 1000 will be classified as "B", teams with under 501 power rating will be classified as "C", and the "C-REC" will only be pure league teams.

*****************************************
Tournaments:

All Tournaments must be posted on the Fastpitch America Softball Association web site. While other organizations seed their events by points, it is recommended that all events be seeded by the Fastpitch America Softball Association Power Rating. This method prevents a new team from coming in and playing the #1 seed. This prevents a new "powerhouse" team from coming in and Defeating the other powerhouse team. If the new team is a weak team then the lower seeded team will have the opportunity to advance to the next round.

All Fastpitch America Softball Association tournaments will be classified as either "OPEN", "A", "B", "C", or "C-REC"

Fastpitch America Softball Association DOES NOT ALLOW TEAMS TO PLAY DOWN IN CLASSIFICATION

*****************************************
Power Rating:

Power rating is a formula total points divided by completed events ties 10.

As teams complete events, points are awarded and the power rating changes. The 1st event is registering with Fastptich America Softball Association;
every team (with the exception of pure league teams) starts out as a class "A" with a power rating of 1000.

Tournament are considered as events, points will be awarded at the completion of the event and your power rating will change (this could also change your classification.
